Under the moon and a handful of stars
I wander off this cool autumn night
My mind is troubled my eyes unfocused
The nerves in my neck stretched tight
…Fight or flight…
I reach the river, I slide down the bank
River waters rippling in moonlight
The leaves on the trees stirring
It comforts me, this sight
…Calm and soothing
The moon in the sky looks down
I can its face quite clearly
As if to say go home my child
Go home where you’re safe from harm
… It is only an illusion
I lay my head on my pillow now
My blankets warm around me
My thoughts wrapped up in tissue
Waiting for sleep to over take me
…just another day

Your words are so beautiful, but, I found this poem sad, is it prophetic!? Do these thoughts disturb you at times, are you fighting something!? It looks to me as if something was seriously bothering the writer and sleep was a relief from the reality at that time!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
