I
opened
my mouth
but didn't hear
a voice!.

She
sat there
looking
at me
in the dark!.

She
walked away
hearing
a shattering
noise!.

I
won't
tell her
it was only

This poem is a perfect example of how to say so much without saying "too much"!. The simplicity of it allows it to achieve its effectiveness!. If anything else was included in this poem it would not uphold its merit or power!. I love short poems!. They are efficient; they are functional; yet they also manage to surprise, delight, and/or enlighten!.!.!.which is exactly what yours did!. Just as a picture is said to be worth a thousand words, a few good lines of verse can pack as much emotional content as a whole paragraph of ordinary prose!.

Poets generally tend to agonize over each and every word!. When a poem only uses a few dozen words, each one becomes extremely important!. To achieve a truly effective poem in very little words is not any easy thing to do!.!.!.with that having been said, I'd be pretty proud to call this poem my own!. Congrats, if it is yours!.

Good poem!. It was clever!. You painted a good picture with your words!. And made the reader feel what you feel!.
Ignore the second answer!. Poetry does not have to rhyme!. Most of the time (not all), poetry that rhymes comes off as amateur!.
