You offer to be the person who is needed at the time to give someone peace, so they don't feel afraid , it is not a lie, but an act of kindness for someone who is dying or on the their death bed!.

They indicate the person was dying and was calling out for a special person in their life to be there!.

The speaker means that even tho they were not the person being asked for, they took on the role for the few seconds that was needed to give the person peace!.!.!.!.!.

No one wants to die alone!. they want the one they love near by!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Try reading the poem out loud and reflect on your experiences to better understand the poem!. The questions aren't that difficult, and not much is needed to understand!. The poem commonly refers to general people!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
