Question: Would you like to know "What makes us different from the apes!?" poets!? Read and comment on my poem, won't you!?
Amongst the apes, as scholars surely know,
Quaint rituals of grooming still prevail
And thereby all your choices overveil
And leave you stranded on a low plateau!.
Amongst their bands it is the status quo
To stroke so softly they are doomed to fail
In finding what infests; that would entail
Real cleansing, not mere petting done for show!.
Thereby are subtle bonds of dominance
Established in our cousins twice removed
And also tales of why they've not evolved;
But you and I have moved from that spot since
And thereby have our better mettle proved --
