When I saw your eyes
I shivered
When I told you I love you
I meant it for eternity
Your smile lightened up the dark clouds
You brought me out of the depression
I broke your heart
But I'll put the pieces back together
I know roses won't due
That's why I'll just say I love you

It sounds familiar!. When I told you I love you I meant it for eternity sounds like something from a song!. I can't think of the title or artist!. It's a nice poem!. You want to give her all your love, but you did something stupid which hurt her and now you want to make it right!. I don't think saying I love you is enough!. It's so vivid!. I gazed at a face so ancient, as if known eternally
As it wandered through my senses
In sublime serenity !.!.
It held my gaze for a moment
Eyes so deep and true
And past a little smiling

I gasped a little shiver

I could not forget this moment
To the days of my death
A warm smile animating
A face as the morning sun
In all its beauteous glory

It is not so much a poem as a laundry list of overused, tired cliches!. "I met you in June beneath the moon!.!.!." If you want to write, you must read a lot (and not just Hallmark cards)!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
