Reflections In the morn’ when you arise Push the night’s thoughts from your eyes Clear your mind and your voice Now’s the time to make a choice How will you behave today!? Will you live in a righteous way!? Will your thoughts be of no other!? Or will you think about your brother!? As you cleanse your soul your face And check into the human race Remember that it’s up to you To choose the right thing to do Go through your day with an open heart You’ll find it is the perfect start There’s only one you’ll be deceiving Look in the mirror and begin believing And when we lay down to rest There is yet another test Echoing loudly with refrain Thoughts that rumble through your brain Did we get it right today!? How justly did the game I play!? Or was my day just a ruse!? Did I seek to mislead and confuse!? Were my intentions just and right!? Can I close my eyes so tight!?
