Question: When is it safe to not be protected!?

Dark Thoughts

If you knew what I know now
You could see what I saw then
If I could explain to you somehow
You would see what I saw when

Now I’m bound to the night
Not knowing the light of day
Stranded here without my sight
In darkness left here to stay

A careless act a foolish thought
Surely a bad decision
A life that’s left all for naught
A man who has no vision

Once I could see far and wide
Now I stand here corrected
Tap stick always at my side
I left myself unprotected

There were signs lots of advice
But I didn’t heed the warnings
Wore my glasses once or twice
Now no sunrises in my mornings

Can’t describe the sights I’ve seen
Speak of wondrous places
Discern the different shades of green
See the smiling faces

It hurts so to talk like this
I can’t stand to linger
Tears shed for what I’ll miss
As I read this with my finger

I’ll stop now I’ve spoke my mind
Please don’t end up like me
I hope that you don’t go blind
Before you’ll learn to see

Exposed and abandoned
Alone and wounded
Hounded and shrouded
All it is and will be for long!.

She stands high on the mountain
Eyes staring as the fountain
Of a hundred pearls gushed forth
From eyes unseen and blinded!.

Hand outstretched she remains
A long lonely winter’s morn
A warmth barely concealing
Beneath her summers frost

life and love she senses
the elemental empress
and all confess in collective thrall
but dare not speak a word!.

Gaze averted and they wonder
At this heavenly splendour
Set high atop a hill
As time and world for her stood still

Life goes on and she amazes
As she wonders at her plight
In darkest night and heavenly sun
As the new dawn will soon comeWww@QuestionHome@Com
