Shame on you for confusing me! (Though at times it's not too difficult!.)Www@QuestionHome@Com

So that makes a third book!. The first was 'The Golden Bough,' the second, 'War and the Poet," and now, 'The Best American Poetry!." When am I supposed to get any work done!?

EDIT: Mr!. Incog!.!. should have continued down a few lines, where the Editor states: "A really worthy parody is implicitly an act of homage!."

HOMAGE!!? In, my humble opinion, I'm not payin' homage to any poet, parodiacal or otherwise!Www@QuestionHome@Com

When I was 16 and first went to work!.I bought The Best Loved Poems of the American People!.I have re-read it over and over!.The years pass and poems that I could not really re-late to in my youth, now mean so much more to me!.I would recommend it to be in every poets library!.I shall go to the library to see about this book!.Since I do not live in the USA it may not be available!.But will call my local book-store!.Thanks for the information!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Back to the library I go!
I highly recommend "World Poetry, An Anthology of Verse from Antiquity To Our Time" Katherine Washburn and John S!. Major, Editors and Clifton Fadiman, General Editor!. You wouldn't believe what they were writing in the Bronze and Iron Ages!Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are loads of them!. Can you recommend a good year!?

A collection of American poetry is great, but I like the idea of a collection of world poetry from the Internet best!.

What a co-inky-dinks that I should have that book on my desk right now!. I love the opening line of the foreword, "A parody, even a merciless one, is not necessarily an act of disrespect!."Www@QuestionHome@Com
