The light of night

Blinded by fear tempted by light
It would take just a cut off the knife
As I sit and wonder what it’s all for
Illusions of love leave me for more

One more day I will wait and see
Maybe she will come home to me
I don’t know her name and can’t see her face
Yet I sit and wait for her gentle embrace
