My day

The following dialog happened at 8:30 a!.m!. while seeing
my second patient of the day!. This gentleman is in the later stages
of Alzheimer’s disease!. I have been assessing his response to a change in
medication unrelated to Alzheimers…

the principles are Cyn, the nurse and Jack, the patient!. The dialog is verbatim!.

Cyn: “Good morning, Jack!. How do you feel today”
Jack: “ I feel good”
Cyn: “What are you doing today!?”
Jack: “I’m looking for something I lost”
Cyn: “I hope you can find it!.”
Jack: “I can’t remember what it is!.”
Cyn: “You’re doing so well, I think next week will be your last visit from me!.”
Jack: “That’s OK, just click your heels three times”
Cyn: “ Bye, Jack”
Jack: “Remember”

Mine certainly is!.I have international students living with me!.They are here to learn English!.I never realized how difficult our language was until I started to help them with their studies!.For example--
around the block
wooden block
block the drive-way
knock off your block

it is a challenge for me, but can you imagine how hard it is for them!?

I don't work in a field that deals with Alzheimer's!.!.!.!.but this dialog sounds like many I have had with some of my customers!. `In fact, Jack makes more sense than some of them! I think sometimes, I'd rather do your job!!Www@QuestionHome@Com
