YOU CAN’T GET THERE FROM HERE Maps cannot show where the road doesn’t go, To places mistaken for paradise, Oasis of spaces, lofty plateaus, Of valueless vanity sacrifice, Faces collide, Fratricide follows, And wallows in pride, Having lied and gotten away with it, I try to deny that I asked God why, And wished every time, to hear a reply, I’ve said all the words and read all the books, Maps cannot show where the road doesn’t go!. ***** Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: My God, how I love the Classics!Www@QuestionHome@Com As to form, I cannot comment for it's a study I have not mastered but as to content, I will say, YOU have mastered it therein!. There is a great deal of irony in this poem!.
