I wrote this for my brother's english class, his was a lot worse and needed help!. Hey what are siblings for!. It received honorable mention in a poetry contest, but I was wondering what everyone else thought!.
My Temple
I sit in front of it like it is my temple, and I have come to worship!.
Stretching my arms and fingers, I roll my neck and ready myself!.
I press the buttons lovingly, hoping not to mis-strike!.
The hours speed by like seconds, days do not exist!.
My eyes, fingers, and brain ache, but I cannot leave!.
I grow tired, but I fear missing one moment of its short life!.
Food does not matter now, nor does drink!.
For my game, my temple, provides everything I shall ever need!.
