"Yesterdays Good-byes"

Dew drenched delicate petals lofted by the wind,
blown away, they escape my vision yet again,
Footsteps once leading up to my front door,
are washed away by rains of the night before!.

Sun winking through branches of Georgia pines,
brightening my house through cracks in my blinds!.
Birds singing diverse songs thank the new day,
from nowhere, past my window, they frolic and play!.

comforted by pillow and crumpled cotton sheets,
wandering through images the subconscious creates,
Dreams, destinations, journeys defying logic,
A bevy of multi-rated off the wall topics!.

Sheets not so clean spread underneath my body,
Your aroma covers them from when you were naughty,
My mind wanders everywhere that my body lies,
while I think of yesterday when we said our good-byes!.
