Tonight I was the sparrow
Shot threw the neck by a double edged arrow
And the sand still lie between my toes
From the beach, where ocean water flows
And for this moment I will forever curse her name off my lips,
To know that this will be the last time to ever feel her kiss!.
To ever feel her heartbeat up against mine
As slowly our legs became warm and bodies entwined
The night that we shared I was to whisper in your ear
That this is the only way you’ll ever feel again my dear
It was the feeling of love running through my veins
The feeling that hurt will never come your way
If only she knew I would offer the world to her
That her beautiful soul could be the one I saviour
And if she wore lipstick im sure it would glow
Like the brightened street light outside my window
And so that night to the ground I hit with a groan inside my chest
That you’re the one who shot this bow and laid me here to rest!.
And I pulled the arrow out that you tried to lodge into my neck,
clasped my hands over the wound that was this sudden wreck!.
And it poured like a fountain down the arm
and the trickle drowned the entire of my palm
