Question: Poem titled *Wishful Thinking* Tell me what you think!.
I wrote this when I was 18 years old!. I am 22 now!. It needs work of course!. I dont need to say who it is about!.!.!.!.pretty obvious :O)

WISHFUL THINKING

I look at you, looking back at me!.
Your eyes are full of love, and love is what you see
The smile upon your face, is one I can’t recall
A mother’s safe embrace – holding my face so small

It is just a photograph – A memory that is lost
That love has been replaced, with cruel and bitter thoughts!.
The cost we have had to pay, for wanting things “our” way
Has left us far from God, with only us to blame

So I began to search my soul, for the child I used to be
And remembered how it made me feel, when you looked that way at me
It made me cry to realize –That’s so far beyond our grasp
I just wish we could start over, and build a love that lasts

I am not the person that you think I am
I cant be the daughter you would like me to be
I wish I could see you smile like you did in that picture
I wish I could make you proud of me

I guess all I can do is pray
That God helps us come to terms – Before it is to late

~ I l look at you, looking back at me
Your eyes are full of love, and love is what you see
The hate within is gone, and we have gained victory ~

I long for the day where that is more than just a dream…wishful thinking!.
