We varnish
So we vanish
Beneath layers of persona
Which obscure our true identity
And show it not!.

I question
Who are you!?
Hidden by your onion wrapped
And lacquered cover!.
Why do you quiver when I inquire!?

One question, observation if you will, opening the second line with "So"!? I see where you are heading, just wondering if "Thus" or "Then" would work as well in your mind!. Reasoning; it was the only stumble I had with the poem!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
