To many chances I gave,
My eyes saw the splendor infront of me,
But my heart felt the burn of sorrow,
I have so much innocence,
Sitting, asking myself ,

The poem is short as previously mentioned, but nevertheless it was great, you got your point across while being able to captivate the reader in just a few lines!. You are on the right track!. It's a little too fluid and short!. Ask yourself these questions: How, What, Where, Why, When!. If you have answered all of them, more than likely you'll be happy with the results!.
