Question: Did you ever have a bad day!?
An afternoon delightless pome
By C!.S!. Scotkin

Picture this, if you please
and even if you don’t!.
just got home, one rough day
change my clothes, come to play
with my cats!.

I peek out to the porch
they curl together, asleep
I start to make some lunch
and then I have a hunch
they’re awake!.

Looking for company,
expecting sweet meows,
I open up the door!.
and hope I see no more
of carnage!.

Three silk plants are shredded,
my books are scattered wide
two lamps have exploded
wish that I had loaded
a squirt gun!

They sit so straight, so tall
Cheshire grins on faces!.
proclaim for all to see
they have no memory,
or do they!?

Go and get the vaccum,
clean up all the mess!.
Head out to the kitchen
taste buds, they are itchin’
for my lunch!.

Where the devil is it!?
Two felines sitting still!.
Tuna salad is gone,
I can only mourn!.
Exiled cats!.

To the screened porch they go,
complaining all the way!.
Out! No ifs, ands or buts!
No, kitties, I’m not nuts,
just hungry…and tired…

Ah, the joys of felines!. Can't live with them, definitely can't live without them!. A very wise person once told me the difference between cats and dogs!.

A dog says, "You feed me, you love me, you shelter me!. You must be god!."

A cat says, "You feed me, you love me, you shelter me!. I must be god!. You, serve me!"Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like this poem you wrote
It talks about the stress of the day
and your cats are one way to keep you
calm!.
I like the lines
hearing the sounds of meows
Still you have work at home to do
it is important to get the work done
The cats are curled up in the porch
asleep!.

George surely had something to do with this! I don't know whether to laugh or cry!. Right now I'm doing both!. As for the poem, it's descriptive, funny and true to form!. Someone once posted a question asking "what is the use of poetry!?" In this case, in seems, it was used to keep you from strangling those darn cats!

May tomorrow be a better day!.

aww, thanks for sharing this little ordeal of yours, poetically!. I LOVE CATS!!!

And know they can be brats sometimes but they are so loving, caring, intelligent, and so so so much more!.

I had a cat wipe my tears once! I was praying and tears were rolling down my cheek, and my cat actually wiped my tear with his fuzzy little paw!

They are amazing little creatures!.

God bless you, and your cats!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I see you are doing well with your training lessons! lol It appears that you are the servant in this house!. A fun poem to read and chuckle about!. We had cats on the farm!. They stayed outside, probably for a good reason after reading your lament! Www@QuestionHome@Com

One word: Cat-astrophic!

or in your case, upon seeing the "cat-nage":

"Cats!!!" (A stroke/fit!!!)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Isn't it loverly - when pets get that "separation anxiety - I'll get even" urge!. My beloved doggy daughter - just does the darnest things - when I leave!. Kind of makes it difficult - what we do for love!. ?Www@QuestionHome@Com

cats make good target practice, they run fast and are hard to hit, especially with a cork stopper pop-gun!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Cats! Too clever for their own whiskers!Www@QuestionHome@Com
