Sleep paralysis
As I lay there trying to speak my arms won't move nor my feet
My body lies motionless my thoughts filled with fear
My lips won't mutter a single word I feel that death is near
The darkness overwhelms me for I can not see
I feel I'm not alone death is here with me
I feel him all around me his essence fills the room
My breath is slowly fading he shall have me soon
I feel him getting closer trying to get inside

yes, I do understand sleep paralysis!. Have lost lots of good poetry lines in a paralysis that won't allow me to wake long enough to record on my voice recorder! :O))
