The Last Summer

was the
last summer!.
This was the
last time that
I could spend!.
I didn’t know!.
I didn’t know what would occur
in just 365 days…
I was clueless!.

We went to Florida together!.
We spent
everyday
together!.
We
loved each other!.
You where my pride!.
My joy!.
My life!.

I
don’t know why!.
You say
that you will tell me
when
I get old enough!.
That’s
not good enough!.
I love you!.
So why can’t you tell!?

This
was my last time!.
Last time I could
call out your names
at the same time!.
Divorce!.
The words
“Mom & Dad”
will
never
be said in the same sentence again…
this was the last summer!.
