Question: Would you care to comment on this poem!?
Childhood lost
By C!.S!. Scotkin

Wrapped in their insanity
backward eyes no longer see,
shiv’ring cold the child stands
locked from love, she has no key!.

Crushing burden upon her
so much for this little child
takes away her innocence
almost kills her spirit, mild!.

Still, she tries and still she grows!.
rises over screams and hate
in the gloom we see her bloom!.
leave that garden, shut the gate!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Now you've gone and done it!. You have accomplished what few are able to do!. You have opened the tear ducts of my soul!. A child in a loveless home has got to be one of the saddest things in our universe!. Thank you for this heart rending tale which even in the face of such adversity ends on a successful note!. We can only hope the lack of love doesn't hinder her ability to love!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Great ending! I was just about to get upset before that last stanza!.
A good story has: a character, something happening to that character, and that character changing due to something happening!. Good job!. The second stanza is the only one I think maybe needs a revision, but I don't how to offer any help with it at the moment; it just doesn't have as powerful of a force as one and three (in my opinion)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Neglect and abuse of children is a world-wide problem!. Your poetry illustrates that children can rise above their past and live as normal, even exceptional human beings as adults!.

The poem itself is very well done!. You have grown immensely as a poet in a very short time!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

To follow the story was easy!. Each line and stanza was important to tell the story leading to the growth, overcoming, and the eventual leaving behind!. Great!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Powerful piece!. I didn't quite understand "almost kills her spirit, mild!?" Loved "backward eyes", that is great imagery!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
