The central piece, the centre of emotion, comes through very well, as an intense message! generally, good writing, impressive! you have poetry in you, do develop that, go on writing!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've already commented on another of your poems!. As I said there: abandon the rhyme!. It can be used very effectively eg!. 'Dulce et decorum est' by Wilfred Owen, but most often it makes the poem seem childish!.

Instead, I recommend focusing on meter!. When writing poetry read sections aloud to yourself and see how it flows!. It can be effective to have caesurae but they only work if the rest of the poem flows comfortably!.

I also recommend spending more time on your poems!. Each word must convey the meaning of ten!. For example in a poem I recently wrote I used a few words of ancient Greek to instantly transport my reader to the location I was describing!. I didn't need to tell the reader where we were going as the words themself showed that!. Obviously this technique cannot be used in every poem, and was only effective as the style I was using mimiced Modernist poetry!.

Experiment with words and don't be afraid to get things wrong!. Poetry is an art, one only expects a painter to have mastered his craft after hundreds of paintings, in the same way you cannot be an expert in poetry until you have completed many poems!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I just have a little constructive advice for you!. When writing rhyming poetry, you have to pay very close attention to the meter (syllables) as it's an important part of rhyming (traditional) poetry!. Non-rhyming poetry also referred to as experimental poetry doesn't rhyme or count syllables!.

I hope that helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
