Your Hai'ku thingies are better than most we see here!. However, they cannot be called true Hai'ku, mostly because they are not written in Japanese!.

There is a thing called American Haiku!. Still, not the same thing!.

You follow the rules well!. You speak of a season and you describe an element of nature, but, there are hundreds of other rules!.

One of the most important is, you must have one line (usually first or last) that contradicts or redirects the story line!.

Don't be discouraged, you can write!. You can call them Wangerbazoos, if you want!. They are beautifully structured free form poems!.

There are more forms of Haiku than the 5-7-5 one!. In my opinion, they cannot be written in any language but Japanese!. You do very well with these poems; you have real talent for description!.

When I write stuff like this, I generally call them "American Ku," an expression I may or may not have created!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it's nice, but what do you mean by Perl!? Perl, Germany!? also, "rainbow appears bright" doesn't really close it!. i know it's only a three line poem, but it still should have a conclusion that isn't quite so open!.
