A STRANGE AND SOMETIMES
WONDERFUL PLACE
Washed ashore,
upon the Island of Mood,
Fear and Apprehension greeted me
and I was consumed by Doubt!.
I was Lonely, all alone!.
My ship was Sunken,
my raft, Deflated, punctured!.
The Melancholy of swaying palms
soon did Calm my nerves!.
As my wits grew Coherent
and me, Curious, I climbed
the highest hill and Rested for a moment!.
I saw a lush forest Swelling,
I heard the birds Excited,
I felt the sun’s soothing Hot mass
warm the air and Relax me!.
