I used to Q
pension book in hand
at my local PO
and stand
in a queue
with all those oldsters
that I knew
but now they've closed the
office down
and we must make it
into town
the bus pass gets us there for free
but then we join the vast melee
a single PO for everybod
a single lady on her tod
Cashier Number Three please
Someone's sending a parcel to Belize
We all turn to each other and say

To "berate" means to scold someone or tell them off!.
I don't see how you can do that to a poem!.
Perhaps you mean "belittle" - in which case, I'm right with you !Www@QuestionHome@Com
