I felt like writing this this morning!. Any comments and advice welcome!. Haven't decided where to put paragraphs as I know naut about poetry!! also have no name
The morning is hushed, waiting!.
Birds quietened, their world warded,
now give time to feeding mouths!.
Mind asleep with senses dulled,
kettle rumbleing, spoon in jar prepared!.
Windows wide, fresh air awakening feeling!.
I am on my own but there is life!.
Breeze brushing curtains, carries
scents of yesterday!.
Traces left behind!.
Pictures dancing on the grass!.
Musical voices entering, going again silently!.
Wisps in the mind grabbing for a while!.
Did I realize then how I would feel now!?
Fighting off nostalgic melancholy
I listen
And quickly wake
Wait!
These sounds ARE here this time!.
My boy!. My lovely boy,
son of my daughter!. Here for one day!.
Not yet 2 and preparing to take the world!.
Demanding action!. Now!.
Things have changed, yes, but I live on!.
