Question: Do you laugh at your poem when it plays the clown!?
*****
DO YOU LAUGH AT THE POET
WHEN HE PLAYS THE CLOWN!?

I spin it once
the face goes round
Harlequin laughs
Harlequin frowns

I spit it twice
it laughs at me
Manikin’s black
Manikin’s brown

I spin it thrice
and I see me
Puppetted sights
Puppetted sounds

only if spit is like drivel hohohho oh sorry not nice to pick on typos!.

PS what you got against clowns!? I am married to a Professional Clown!. No joking!. He can get $100 an hour to make kids laugh!. They call us the "two clowns" but don't have a costume!.!.!.!.and I only get paid (sometimes) to do his bookkeeping!.

If I laugh at my own poem I know for a fact someone else will, since I have discovered like minded lun!.!.!.lovers of comedy here in the poetry section!. I love the idea of people laughing at my funny poems - when they lol at my serious ones then I think "hmm missed the mark there haven't I"

very interesting classical view of clowns!. Nicely done!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A long time ago I learned that I need to laugh at my own jokes, because no one else will!. There is a price to pay for being a genius, as you are well aware!. btw, Don' t spit on the poor little thing that's not nice!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I liked your poem and the meaning ' but i probably would not laugh as laughs can be so cruel at times!.!.!.Some poems are to be funny then i would laugh but not if he or she was trying to write a piece from the heart!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Depends on the poet!. Sometimes I laugh WITH the poet!. The play may be the thing, but it is artifice!. This poem is not!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Only if it appropriate, but not to hurt someones feelings!! Cheers!!Www@QuestionHome@Com
