Velvet paw studded with tacks
Caresses the side of my face!.
“get up Human Mom” George says
“There’s thunder all over the place!.”

Gracie’s having a catniption fit!.
rain comes in buckets drenching
these piteous meows from them
are really quite heart wrenching!

Scene replayed all night long
far into the morning,
leaves me yearning for a nap
before the day is dawning!.
