Question: Does this frighten you!?
Trial of Sight
Part Eight

“MOMMY HELP, PLEASE!”
Cara’s screams go unheeded
awakened in the dark to no monster growls
still more frightening is the silence
No stranger
no judge stands
that she can tell
Still no light and Cara wonders
how could these men find their way
Unless the darkness lies in her eyes
A sightless night to be passed, alone,
no mother to hold her

-There are no “~” on this one so it is no dream… but you knew that!. Doe this one frighten you for our Cara’s sake!?

Yes, this does frighten me, knowing what it is like to call out in the darkest night, and no one be there!. I have felt the pain, the tragedy, the sight of the judge, and the cold voice at the edge of the doorway telling me that there is nothing to worry about!. I know all to well your last two lines!. "A sightless night to be passed, alone/no mother to hold her!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, I am afraid for Cara!. Hearing nothing but the echo of your own screams is so lonely and frightening!. This part has had a deep impact on me!. Transcendent fear of the child alone in the perilous silence and darkness, with no source of comfort-I understand this to the depths of my soul!. You have a way of summoning strong emotions with your words!. Your poetry is powerful!. Thank you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
