Observations of a Traveler

A city street holds no people
Gigantic buildings enveloped by obscurity
Everything is silent and unstable
It holds the smell of decay and inactivity
Here, the dark seizes night and day
To this location, the light will never show concern
Hope lies North, bright as the sun’s ray
But in due time, that flare might also never return
Man wrecked and disrespected this place
All of this only a lone traveler can discernWww@QuestionHome@Com

i enjoyed the poem after viewing the picture!. I think it depicts the writer's bias (jaded) more than the picture deserves but that is "my bias"!. Very nicely done!. Excellent!

Just another (opposing) view(point)!.

"From lowly roots, society climbs!. Not all together, or at once, but hope reaches upward!. We learn!."

As a writer, I have learned to consider the reader's view!. As a photographer, I have learned to consider the viewer's perspective!. I enjoyed the picture, the poem worked with it, but the message was depressing, devoid of what makes up the human spirit, and cynical!. You can do better, much better, for the good of your readers and for yourself and I hope you do!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
