Question: Any comments about this poem!?
Ancient Struggle

Another age old story,
seventeen years of nurturing
yearning to be free,
a sense of entitlement reigns
it’s a whole new game;
an eternal rite of passage!.

Little angel
you have grown strong; bold;
your heart dismissive and cold!.
Where are you going!?

Once a babe in our arms
now distant; so disarming,
a little girl no more
storms out the door!. !. !. !.

Where are you taking our hearts!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Only they know where the heart goes, in part!.
As long as they return with heart to share, Hopefully unbroken!.
Be they daughters, granddaughters, who fly from the nest,
hopefully prepared!

A lovely poem, Kudos!Www@QuestionHome@Com

The more I read the younger generations poems, the more my heart goes out to them!. There must be so much heartache out there in the world, so many troubled minds!.

Where is the joy and happiness of my youth, is it lost to this seemingly tormented generation!?

This poem is no exception, though well penned, it leaves me sad that all joy seems to take no further part in the poems of the young!. Is it to be left to the older generation to express the great happiness that still abounds in this world!.
