Question: "Pondering", A poem, Comments please!?
I think on quotes, read long ago,
"If I knew then what I know now"
So to speak, I ask myself,
Preposterous!?
How could I know then! what I know now!.

Still I ponder on,
If; "Youth is wasted on the young!."
and if I knew then what I know now!.
You tell me what differant
would be done!?

And then again, Soren Kierkegaard
said, "Life can only be understood backwards
but it must be lived forward!."
Now that to me, makes common sense!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Jenny, I love this one! I love how you included the quotes into your poem!. I always think about the quote you mentioned: "If I knew then what I know now" I feel that you learn from mistakes, from experiences, from the people in your life (good and bad) and each moment brings you to the person you are in this very moment!.!.!.and each moment from now will bring me to the next part of my life and myself!. So I think if I could go back and "know then what I know now" I would choose not to, because that would be eliminating a lot of my life experiences!. And even though most of my experiences throughout my childhood weren't that great, they taught me compassion and caring and showed me every single way not to treat a child or another person!. I loved this, thank you for letting me read it!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Interesting!. Very philosophical!. It will give me the benefit of being able to consider the thoughts, in a poetic setting!.

I've wondered the same thing but never put it into words!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

To ponder backwards can be depressing!. Unless, we have a good sense of humor!. I like pondering on the future possibilities!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A wonderful poem, making all kinds of common sense in lovely form!. (one small typo: differant=different)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like!. A suggestion for the future would be to start with a quote and then pen the poem to answer the quote!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
