Question: Is this a good love poem!? Rate on scale 1-10!?

Embers

How do you spark a fire that won't ignite!?
This is the love that I have for that one!.
It's these glowing embers that warm my night!.
They may be small, but their strength shames the sun!.

If only I had just one match to strike
and even a little help from above,
maybe I could escape darknesses smite
and heat ourselves by igniting this love!.

Oh how strong that eternal flame would be
that no wind could ever blow this love out
and by its light we shall forever see
the beauty it brought and left no doubt!.

Yet, for now these embers will keep me warm!.
Until wind no longer does make me mourn!.

It's very thoughtful!.!. good to keep a theme running through!.
It is a bit deep, but that is some people's thing!.!. I guess!.!. not for me though!.
Good use of technique, rhyming throughout and rhyming couplet at the end!.
In all honesty, the reason I gave this score is mainly due to the fact that none of the lines really jumped out at me!. I like poems that have lines that make me think 'oh jesus I wish I thought of that! I'm gonna put it in my MSN name'!. You usually find that songs which have good lyrics always do well!.!. example Rockstar by Nickelback!. Despite it being cheesey!.!. everyone loves the lyrics and like putting them in their msn name, singing along to them etc!.
Actually one line stood out 'They may be small, but their strength shames the sun'!.
You need to try and make lines like this throughout the poem!. Originality!. At least one every stanza!. There's nothing worse than having a poem with stanzas which you can just skim over and forget!. Stanzas that repeat the same message!.

This is a good poem!. It's really deep!. If the person who the poem is for is a really down to Earth, romantic, and a sensative person, then they will really like it so I would give it like a 9!. If this person is never serious, really dumb, or doesnt know how to be romantic, I don't think they would appriciate it as much!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's very good, for a first poem!. My poetry isn't usually that deep!. By the way, in most poems, each new line begins with a capital letter, even if it's not the beginning of a sentence!. Good luck, and now you've started, keep going! 10/10 (for a first poem)Www@QuestionHome@Com
