Soul of a Shadow -
Silence surrounds the empty sky
Sun’s warmth; dawn breaks the grey
Shadows’ dance and dreams sigh
Morning’s light chases the day!.
An empty soul sits alone
Lost in semblance of a past
Weeping in memories sown
The hand of fate cast!.
Darkness presses the days light
Twisted shadows; sun turns to shade
Dreams lost to a sinister night
Hope’s faith ended on a blade!.
A wish; lost in the moon’s pale glow
Moments spent in silent thought
What a heart willed to bestow
Intentions turned to be all naught!.
Memories of you still wash ashore
Tears spilled from moments gone
Regrets left to keep the score
Shadowed by another rising dawn!.

its!.!.!.!.well!.!.!.!.generic!. too many people write poems on pain and suffering!. its better than some of the other people that i have read!. but next time, pick a happy or nutral topic!. and focus it on somthing specific!. you could write about a big decition, a moment in everyones life (i!.e!. birth/death) I don't like sad poems, even though everyone wants to be a "sad depressed poet" i don't think its a good thing to be!.
