There is an existing and somewhat famous version I learned from my father decades ago, which he always attributes to H!.G!. Wells, though I could never corroborate it!. It begins as yours does: Scintillate, scintillate, asteroid minific! "Just for fun" is always worthwhile!. This may not make it into your volume titled Collected Poems someday or be studied in lit classes but this kind of playing with words always helps make us better poets!.
