Waking
under a sheet of glazed indifference
I see life through
veiled hope
veiled from the new
stupor of life that starts
each morning, twisting a man
on his ear, gutting him
while he hacks away
at the immortal job
that he has created out of
Nothing and Everything
that he has feigned allegiance to
for most of his existence
and this stupor
rules the swagger of men
and women
and lays in wait
for the youth

Do you remember the days of youth when we felt no stupor of life!? I do!. I think it is earned with age and wisdom, and a lack of coffee in the morning!.!.!.!.this was just beautiful, true and a sad fact of life!.!.!.which is why we need the laughter!.
