Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I have a dim light!.!.!. that enters the conscience poetry makes it brighter for all to see!. then relief comes in a word that there are others that share the lights that bother me they have their lights dim but steady together we make them glow so in the end we all together enhance what we already knowWww@QuestionHome@Com Inspiration to writing poetry: When I write poetry there are some things that go through my mind I think of my brother, grandma ( on my mom's side ) and my uncles all deceased I attended a writer's group for a while Where I am from I did a poem on the city 2 years ago when it had its centennial the year before the province its centennial and Canada its centennial although I did the celebrations part and history!. A couple of writer in residence from 2004 - 2005 and another one was from 2005 - 2006Www@QuestionHome@Com I agree with most of them here, that it is the things that happen in your life that inspires you to write poems!. But it is not just anything, it is the things that impact you the most, such that you want to write the poem to convey your thoughts about that particular thing about your life!. When i wrote poems, i wrote it because i wasn't selected as captain of my sports group, and because i was greatly saddened and impacted by the fact that i wasn't selected as sports captain, i wrote a poem which has a message that tells my teachers and sports team commitee to f*** off, but i crafted the poem to be about a mother who aborted her child, so my sports team won't come to know that i'm infurated by them not choosing me as captain!. As you see, i wrote that poem because i want to have a rant!. When people are impacted by things, some indulge in spending money, some eat a lot, and some write poems to let off steam, or to shout out any message!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Inspiration can come from many things, something you have seen or heard, a memory of times gone by, a dream, the mood you are in!. In short absolutely anything, and a lot of the time the inspiration comes when you haven't got anything to write on/with, or to record it with!. Most of them are either funny or have a sarcastic tinge to them I must admit but saying that they do get printed in either the National papers or our local issues!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I write the way i feel at the time!. I also think of memories that have had strong influences on me (such as gang crime, stuff like that)!. Things that have big impacts are easier to wriet about but i find that writing poems for the purpose of being funny is much harder than first anticipated!. xWww@QuestionHome@Com Baths and humidity inspires!. Occasionally I'll meet a friend who is fun, I'll strip her naked to look at her bum!. LMFAOWww@QuestionHome@Com It keeps me from smoking cigarettes!. It connects me to other poets!. It stimulates my mind!.
