You may want to know what a rhyme is, so here is the defination: A rhyme is a repetition of identical or similar sounds in two or more different words and is most often used in poetry and songs!.

Just because two words have slightly different spelling, does not mean that they are words that can't rhyme!.
Good and food don't rhyme even though they are spelled with a one consonant difference!.
Rhyme and time, have two consonatants in common, and mesh perfectly!. The 'hy' in the word rhyme sounds like 'i' and therefore makes the combination work!.
Bizzerk, and shirt are what is called an IMPERFECT RHYME, but they do sound smooth together!.

Here is a list of the Tpes Rhyme:

Syllabic: a rhyme in which the last syllable of each word sounds the same but does not necessarily contain vowels!. (cleaver, silver, or pitter, patter)
Imperfect: a rhyme between a stressed and an unstressed syllable!. (wing, caring)
Semirhyme: a rhyme with an extra syllable on one word!. (bend, ending)
Oblique (or slant): a rhyme with an imperfect match in sound!. (green, fiend)
Assonance: matching vowels!. (shake, hate)
Consonance: matching consonants!. (her, dark)
half rhyme (or sprung rhyme): matching final consonants!. (bent, ant)
Alliteration (or head rhyme): matching initial consonants!. (short, ship) !.

So yes, flower and shower rhyme!.

Ex:
Beneath the shower,
the flower,
doth lively grow!.
And after the shower,
the flower,
grows slow!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There is a kind of a forgiveness in literature and poetry - it's called "poetic license"!. Your combination of flowers and shower rhyme acceptably!. Sometimes words that are spelled nearly the same but have completely different sounds are considered "rhyming", such as move and love, especially in songs!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
