The DayFire burnt the skin of Clan
as VampireBlade clashed with mans
VanHelsings eyes grew red with rage
while he made clear his demands
Lanett fell back and screamed in fear
The leader held her closer still
When the sun rose she could see
the Fire of day, her guards would kill
In the HuntersEyes she watched
and something was made manifest
he was no DemonMan, indeed
a man he was like all the rest
Her heart grew sore for his DarkLoss
a wife, a child, all dead and gone
This man, though dreadful had been wronged
She wished then for her life to give
not knowing where her place TruthLay
if she knew not why to live
then she would give her life away

Lanett has a heart of gold, vampire or not, and is so compassionate that she would give her life for another who is supposed to be her enemy as well as her champions!. This is a divine compassion, it seems to me!. This is a turning point in the tale and I can't wait to read your next poem to find out what happens!. No vampire is an "innocent!."
After all, hardly anyone would submit to do this of their own accord!. And, once infected, they have to kill to survive!. If they didn't, they'd die on their own and Van Helsing wouldn't have to do it for them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It seems as if no one who is answering your question has read your series!.!.!. that is why VanHelsing needs Lanett, because she is Innocent from being borne into the world of Vampires and never really being told about them!.!.!. apparently she does not NEED blood like all the rest because she would not be Innocent then would she!?
