Question: Can a ghost be a poetic muse!?
My Muse

I've wondered long and very hard,
About this thing called muse!.
I never knew from whence they came,
These words I write and use!.

I always thought they came from me,
To paper from my head,
But now I think that they may come,
From people who are dead!.

I see some things within my mind,
These things I try to write!.
Sometimes the things I see in there,
Will give me quite a fright!.

I feel the ghosts of poets gone,
Have entered into me!.
And if I write some pretty verse,
I think I'll let them be!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, a ghost can be a muse!. Sometimes I write, and I sit back and say to myself, where the heck did that come from!?!Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is really a cool poem and i like the meaning of it' and i agree you have some great poets muses in you' but i think your just so talented and know how to write a great poem as it comes to you within!.You may have some from long ago though as when we write about the ys gone bye like the mansions poems' i could swear that you lived in those times as your vivid expression s of the times and the everything involved' as you have it to a T!.!.!.!.!.!.Cami!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If they do come from ghosts, they seem to be like Casper, the friendly ghost!. If memories can be called ghosts, perhaps you are correct!. Do we have a sort of instinctual memory, like animals who seem to know things they couldn't possibly have learned!? The mind is a wonderful thing, too bad we don't know more about how it functions!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Maybe Dondi!. who really knows
The talent to write not in prose!.
I've been doing it since the age of eight
Now I'm about to knock on heaven's gate!.
No one else in my family has this gift
It has at times, made them miffed!.
Being Irish, I like to think my humour came from an elf
I write to laugh, have fun and enjoy myself!.
So whomever, whatever this talent you bring
Hallelujah, rejoice, let the church bells ring!.
If the gift of writing came to you from another soul
Keep writing, let us enjoy, tale telling is your goal!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The muse inside your head will sing
and maybe even dance,
the muse within your heart knows you
and binds you in a trance!.

All muses are as they wish to be,
dead, far off, or living,
but every muse there is to choose
is oh, so kind and giving!.

Anything can be inspiration!. Thanks Dondi!. Beautiful poem!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If it works don't fix it!.I have had similar experiences so I know where you're coming from, and wondered the same thing from time to time!.I like your piece, but your 8th line could be smoothed out a little,it would help with the flow of your very well written poem!.Keep up the good work, and much luck !.Who's to say definitely one way or the other that there are ghosts!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

A dead inspiration!?
I think, not a bit
"You" always inspire
With your ready wit

Your lyrical gift
Doth ever amuse
Give thanks to said spirit
Thine ever fine muse

Still bashful, methinketh
To otherwise raise
A toast to some spirit
When "You" deserve praise

A lyrical poet
Deserv-ed of dues
You've inspired "me" so
Ever blessed, (be)museWww@QuestionHome@Com

A beautiful picture of the "muse" factor at work!. Regardless of who is the author - if the words strike a chord - write them down!. Even if they don't - write them down - something may come up later in your "dry" periods!. ;-) ?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hauntings, Where ever from they come is another pondering
mystery of many facets, with links combined seemly both
