My Mansion

This ancient house has stood the test,
Time it's worst enemy!.
It started many years ago,
In eighteen fourty three!.

You enter through the oaken doors,
Into a lavish place!.
The mirrors on the high built walls,
Adorned with golden lace!.

The ceiling is three stories high,
A truly awesome thing!.
The walls are hung with tapestries,
Hung by a golden ring!.

Out in the back is nine more rooms,
For those who serve us here!.
The kitchen is a room alone,
It gives the cook much cheer!.

Upstairs upon the second floor,
Spaced out in circled wall!.
You'll find the bedrooms are up there,
There are fourteen in all!.

One for the master and his wife,
One for each child, all ten!.
The rest for guests who come to call,
They drop by now and then!.

I now reside within this house,
A mansion some will say!.
My family built this lovely home,
And we're still here today!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
