Fictional Kingman
Cary me to the palace gate
before the wolves have reached the throne
If you wish to break the doors
do not leave me here alone
The king may pardon all my sin
and slay the beasts who wish me dead
If I could only give to him
a thing more worthy than my head
Pound the drum and show him out
my body will not let me stand
Could I only plea my life
before the monsters take my hand
and lead me far into the night
What is it that he has said
that he shall not come to me
If only legends spoke so true
of peace he gave and reverie
But he is not as story spoke
for he has turned away his child
If to him I can’t take love
to whom will I be reconciled

It reminds me of the kings and queens of long ago and how if you had beliefs different of theirs it would be off with your head!.!.It was a wonderful poem with so much feelings and sorrow of this poor souls life as it is about to end for nothing!.as he is led to the gallows!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
