Tricia's Poem


Tonight I can write the truest lines
like "I found her, but was lost myself!."

This mariner drifted, nearly forgotten!.
There was found, nor stars nor compass!.
Just her voice I've sought!.

She sings, my siren, lulling promises!.
Her soft words, blindly lure my thoughts!.

Leading me here, to virgin isles!.
Here love, there jealousy, still another
and another, all hers!.

I thought I loved her, sometimes I think
I know that maybe, I always have!.

Her look seduces me, and those songs
as the ocean, I drift to great depth!.

Here on this rocky isle, she led me here
destined here, she stands here, smiling!.

Hopeless to know, which shore will she be!?
But if she seeks me, nourishing my love,
Then I'll repeat her!.

I thought she hurt me, sometimes I think
She knew she did, and still does!.

Only this how it is, to play by the rules!.
Still, I remove my shirt, left open!.
For hurt, but not afraid!.

Though these are my only thoughts now!.
