Question: Do you need complete silence when writing poetry!.!.!.!?
Or can you write anytime/anywhere!?

I think this is the cause of my writer's block!.!.!.not having any free time lately to sit and think and concentrate!. It's frustrating me!.!.!.Does this ever happen to you!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I write anytime the muse calls!. Often in a car!. Then I just scribble the thought down on something!. Trying to get it to occur when you want it to could prove to be frustrating!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i want to write something but i just cant focus!. i want to draw or watch TV or write so much stuff to do so little time!. i like silence sometimes but music can help too!.
you should write your ideas, discuss what you want to write about, look up info and most apportantally relax and free your mind!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

many times when I have no time I write very fast!. All the poems I have done here took me the maximum of 5 mins!. Though they may not turn out as well as if I had spent hours, they are still writing, and I think we all need to MAKE time!. I understand schedules can be tight!. That is the good thing about bathrooms, there, you will not even be bothered by the President himself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't need silence all of the time, but it does seem to enhance the moments, If I start out with noise, at some point
I need the silence!. And there are times the TV may be on and I hear the sound but not hear the words!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It depends on the source of the noise, how I feel, what I'm trying to write!.!.!.

I can usually write anywhere!.!.!. I prefer the computer, though!.!.!. I can scare people away from bothering me, with the right music on!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, I write in very noisy places, even at my job where I am required to wear ear plugs due to high noise levels!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I put classical music on in the background!. It stimulates my mind and gives me a sense of meter!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I train dogs to remain calm by making loud noises while they eat!. That way they associate chaos with something good!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
