I just watched Beaches with Bette Midler and Barbara Hershey and it is amazing - truly a lovely story of friendship between two girls who became women

Are there any stories about two men who stand by each other as friends and that is the main theme!?

I am gay and yes I know Brokeback Mountain but I'd like to know if there are novels, movies or poems about friendship between males that do or do not have sexuality as a theme
