Can you hep’ a Brujo!? by TD Euwaite Hey, Medicine Man what’s those herbs and seeds you have!? Pine tree bark and meadowlark feathers… Brew me a bowl Potion meant to tame a troll strong and sour I’ll devoir every drop I, want to fly I want to go to the clouds high!. Unfortunately the I/fly/high/cry combination has been done and done to death in everything from nursery rhymes to pop songs!. I wish the third stanza were conveyed less literally and sing-songy!. I like "potion meant / to tame a troll"!. It very subtly brings to mind a heaviness and possible reasons for sorrow that show why the speaker needs to feel light, frenetic, happy!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Very interesting (and intoxicating) poem!. I personally love the last stanza because I would love to do just that- to fly, to "run amuck", and to "never, never cry", things that don't come easy to me!. But my favorite lines are "pine tree bark and meadowlark feathers!.!." and "Potion meant to tame a troll"- both are fanciful and imaginative!. It reminds me of someone who is looking for drugs or alcohol to solve a problem!. But, I do tend to get rattled by the long lines, then short phrases!.
