Question: Would you like to share your thoughts on this one!?
I'm up for any kind of feedback or reaction you might have!. Lately I've been going for a very conversational voice in my poetry, but still with an emphasis on language, albeit more subtly!. What do you think!?

-Gay Pride Memory: San Diego, 2006-

I was in a bar in San Diego!.

A drunk guy sat across from my friend
and me and stared at us!. He
looked right at me and said,
"you're fat!."

I only laughed because
I was speechless!. My friend complained
to the bartender who told the
guy to leave us alone!.

No witty comeback from me!.
Fat and stupid!. It was then
that I noticed that the shirt I was wearing,
which I liked in the
store, was too tight on me
and not very flattering at all!.

Kind of a bummer!.

At least the offender
wasn't cute!. After he left, the bartender,
trying to make me feel better, made a racial
comment about him,
which frankly wasn't helpful!.

I think say what he said but make it clear you don't care for any type of remarks against another person because they are of another race, fat, skinny, homophobic, religion choice etc!. It is part of the whole disgust issue with others on both the part of the guy across from you and the bartender!. They are both phobic or have a lot of hate in them!. At least that is what I think the poem would reflect plus how two wrongs don't make a right!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
