Jambo Mombasa!

The African tradition
is head held high,
feet on the ground!.
It is unnatural for them
to reverse positions!.
A person should not
stand on their head or
talk with their feet!.
Mombasa in a port in Kenya!.
Many friendly people speaking
Proper Queen’s English
and having Shillings!.
Mike and me, we played cards
and won many Shillings!.
We spended them most freely
and the girls of Mombasa really
enjoyed our company!.
I showed one girl how a
person could stand on his head
and talk with various parts!.
She laughed very much!.
She told her friends!.
They all wanted to see the funny
places I could put my head…
