"Anyone can write a poem"
that's what people say,
but when some sit down, pen in hand,
the words don't come their way!.

It takes a lot of searching
in your head and in your heart,
to write down all your inner thoughts,
your feelings to impart!.

You write down your ideas,
spell them out, one at a time;
and you have to write them clearly,
and you have to make them rhyme!.

Sometimes they bring a tear or two,
sometimes they bring a laugh,
but you have to put them down complete
you can't just do them half!.

"cause when a person reads your poems
the meaning he should find,
not only in the words he "sees"
