SPRING FEVER
Spring fever is a strange disease,
it strikes in April when the trees
and bushes start to sprout and then
you find you're mowing grass again!.
When flowers start to show their hues,
you don your gardening bloves and shoes;
and shovel, hoe and spade in hand
you pick a spot and start to plan!.
A garden must be set up right
and so you plan into the night!.
You lay it all out in your head,
but the wife wants "flowers" there instead!.
And so you pick another spot
and start to dig and the sun get hot!.
But persevere you know you must,
though eyes and mouth are full of dust!.
And when the rows are dug and seeded
and all the ones between are weeded;
It's with a certain air of price,
you watch the sprouts spread far and wide!.
You nurture them with loving care,
With food and water always there!.
The plants grow tall, the leaves get green,
It's the best of all you've every seen!.
Until when harvest is almost due
A rabbit makes his first "debut"!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
